I absolutely love dumplings and the beef gyoza are one of my favourite types. I make them quite
often, when I manage to get a hold of the wrappers in the Asian supermarket. They are the
ultimate comfort food, especially when shared with loved ones.

Honey peach tartine with twarog cheese
Simple tartines have a special place in my heart.
They are versatile and easy-growing up in Poland we would be having the delicious open
sandwiches almost everyday-a real classic on any table for breakfast or as an afternoon
snack-from quick ham and cheese sandwich topped with tomato and spring onion to more
unusual with butter and honey. Always on fresh bread and served with sweet, lemon tea
on the side.
Çılbır – Turkish eggs with yoghurt and Aleppo butter
There is no other ingredient which holds as much symbolic significance as an egg. It brings hope for new beginnings, reminds us of the circle of life and awakening of nature (especially at Easter). It’s also a symbol of life and rebirth, so when thinking about the very first food feature for My Best Zine I knew quite quickly that my column must embrace this beautiful yet very simple ingredient in the best way possible.
New Potato and eggs salad with dill pesto
This salad it’s a celebration of some of the most beautiful and simplest summer ingredients. Delicious baby potatoes mixed with asparagus, topped with eggs and drizzled with a dill pesto makes this a perfect main course during those hot summer days and acts as a great bbq side dish.
